Apple Air-Power is officially dead
Apple has cancelled its air-power product which apple has promised to launch in 2017.The basic concept for this product was that customers will have the freedom of putting their device on charge anywhere on the charging plate.
It is important to tell you that all the conventional wireless chargers in market have only one or two coils which need to be align with the coil inside your phone in order to start charging process. If you somehow move the phone after it align with the charging pad cable and started charging your phone will stop charging which is very annoying.
Apple wanted to develop this new tech where it was going to install multiple coils in the pad so you do not need to align your device with the pad coils. Also the product was meant to be designed in a way that it could have charged all the apple products like iPhone, Air Pods and Apple watch with the same charger at same time.
There are reports that apple failed to do so because there is a problem of heating due to many coils in the pad.
Now Apple has officially cancelled the product so we will not be seeing any of these fancy Air-Power pads in the market any more.
May be in future we will see apple phones with reverse charging and we will be able to use the phone as a pad to charge other products from apple like Air pods, watch etc.
Its not end of the world though there are many good companies which are selling good quality wireless charging pads which can charge all your Apple products efficiently and at the same time.
